CWC Eligibility Criteria 2025: Nationality, Educational Qualifications, and Age Relaxation

If you are planning to apply for CWC recruitment 2025, it’s crucial to understand the eligibility criteria specified by the Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC). The eligibility covers various aspects such as nationality, educational qualifications, and age relaxation. Below is the detailed breakdown of the criteria:

1. Nationality / Citizenship

Candidates applying for CWC posts must be one of the following:

  • Citizen of India, or
  • Subject of Nepal, or
  • Subject of Bhutan, or
  • Tibetan Refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of settling permanently in India, or
  • Person of Indian origin who has migrated from the following countries with the intention of permanently settling in India:
    • Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia), and Vietnam.

Candidates from categories (ii), (iii), (iv), and (v) must have an eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India.

2. Educational Qualifications (as of 12th January 2025)

Candidates must possess the necessary educational qualifications as on the last date of application. Below are the details for different posts:

These vacancies are specifically for candidates applying for positions in North Eastern India and the Union Territory of Ladakh.

4. Age Relaxation Criteria

Candidates seeking age relaxation must provide necessary certificates at the time of document verification or interview. Age relaxation will be granted based on the following categories:

Additional Notes on Age Relaxation:

  • Maximum age limit after applying relaxation will not exceed 55 years as of 12th January 2025.
  • Ex-Servicemen applying for certain posts (post codes 5, 7, and 8) are eligible for age relaxation as per military service.
  • OBC candidates must submit an OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate issued after April 1, 2024.
  • Candidates claiming age relaxation under OBC, SC/ST, PwBD, or Ex-Servicemen categories need to submit the relevant certificate at the time of the interview/document verification.

Important Information:

  • Candidates applying for unreserved posts (GEN) from reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC will not get age relaxation or relaxations in qualifying marks in Online Test/Interview.
  • Ex-Servicemen can avail of relaxation irrespective of whether the post is reserved for them or not.
  • Age concession for PwBD candidates is allowed even if the post is not reserved for PwBD.

4. Conversion of SGPA/CGPA to Percentage

If your university/board uses SGPA/CGPA/OGPA grades, you need to convert them into equivalent percentage and indicate the same in your application. If shortlisted, you’ll have to provide a certificate from the concerned university, stating the conversion formula.

It is essential for all candidates to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria before applying. Age relaxation, educational qualifications, and experience will be verified at the document verification stage. In case a candidate does not meet the eligibility requirements at any stage, they may be disqualified from the recruitment process.
